Chiropractic
Using various techniques and technologies, chiropractic removes pressure from spinal nerves caused by the misalignment of vertebrae, called subluxation. Spinal Decompression (IDD Therapy®) for Herniated Discs
Developed by a medical team of neurosurgeons, neurologists and orthopedists, IDD Therapy is one of the most effective ways to treat disc herniations and acute/chronic back and neck pain without drugs or surgery. The precise, gentle, computer-controlled treatment promotes healing of degenerated and bulging discs by stimulating the rehydration and renewal of damaged tissue. As normal spinal function is restored, so are mobility and pain relief. IDD Therapy is nonsurgical, gentle and proven effective and affordable.
Physical Therapy
Physical therapy involves customized treatment plans that aim to improve musculoskeletal function, including pain management, mobility, range of motion and overall physical fitness. Patients may need to work on flexibility, strength, endurance, coordination and/or balance through therapeutic exercise and modalities. Our treatment plans focus on preventing or treating problems that affect your muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones and nerves. We use ultrasound, manual therapy, electrical stimulation, kinesiotaping and FAKTR (pronounced “factor”). FAKTR stands for “functional and kinetic treatment with rehab.” A concept rather than a technique, FAKTR incorporates the latest research and evidence-based soft-tissue techniques into a comprehensive protocol to treat common musculoskeletal disorders and complicated injuries quickly and easily with impressive results. We also use the McKenzie method, a comprehensive physical therapy approach to centralize the source of pain, allowing for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Neurology
Our neurological evaluation provides invaluable information to our chiropractor and physical therapist, enabling them to individualize each patient’s treatment. The neurologist also assesses and monitors the patient’s progress and the effectiveness of treatment, working closely with our other providers to ensure you receiving the best possible care for your condition. We use electromyelographic (EMG) testing to discern the integrity and function of the spinal nerves. Our nerve conduction velocity (NCV) test allows us to diagnose nerve damage or dysfunction.
Trigger Point Therapy
We perform trigger point injections to relieve symptoms associated with inflammation and degenerative processes from acute trauma (fractures, sprains, lacerations and tendonitis) and other repetitive-use or overuse injuries. We use a homeopathic inflammation-regulating drug (IRD) at active trigger point sites. Trigger point injections are one of the most effective treatment modalities for providing prompt relief of pain and symptoms.
Acupuncture
